Training

We provide personally tailored training courses concerning trams, metros, and trains for (governmental) organisations. Below is a selection of previously given training courses in which André van Es participated as either trainer or developer.

UIC: Basic ERTMS course
Chairman of the team, project manager and developer

The Worldwide Railway Organisation (UIC) aims to stimulate the use of rail transport. Within the UIC the Training and Expertise Development Platform (TEDP)  works on improving training courses for the railway branch. One of the current projects is an activity based online e-learning training for ERTMS.
 

RailAlert: DVP Metro
Project manager and developer

In order to create safer working conditions for metro (construction) personnel, the Digital Safety Passport (DVP) will be implemented starting September 1 st 2020. Personnel who work around or on the metro tracks can only gain access after they have completed a safety training and pass the included exam, acquiring their DVP.

RailAlert: VHP-Tram
Project manager and developer

In order to minimise risks while working on tram tracks, a Safety Person Tram is required to be present. People who wish to fulfil such a job must be certified. An e-learning training with included exams has been developed.
 

Arcadis Australia
Developer and Lecturer for a three week course on ERTMS in Sydney

In order to prepare the engineers of Arcadis Australia for potential projects  two courses have been given:
1. Basic ERTMS course for new employees.
2. Intermediary training ERTMS for experienced railway safety personnel.
 

Railcenter, Brunel
Trainer

In the name of Railcenter, André provided an in-company training ERTMS for Brunel.
 

Province Groningen, Drenthe and Friesland
Developer and Trainer

In order to prepare the provinces of Groningen, Drenthe and Friesland for their role as manager of regional transport systems, a compact course consisting of the basics of railway transport systems was given. Extra time was spent on explaining topics such as ERTMS and the increasing usage of rail transport.

Ministry of Infrastructure and Water management

A compact course on the basics of railway transport was given to the new employees of the ministry of infrastructure and water management. Extra time was spent on explaining topics such as ERTMS and the increasing usage of rail transport.
  

Province Zuid-Holland
Developer and Trainer

The province of Zuid-Holland became responsible for the maintenance of the regional tram RijnGouwelijn, which connects Gouda, through Alphen aan den Rijn and Leiden to Katwijk. The employees of the province were provided with a basic course on railway systems and regional trams
